Your spreadsheet.
One clear path through.

Keep the records you know. Bring them into QuarterLink, connect the figures and check your quarterly update — one step at a time.

Follow your file from start to finish.

Read down the page. Each step picks up where the last one ends.

  1. STEP 1

    Bring in your spreadsheet.

Choose the business or property income source and the period you’re working on. Upload the Excel or CSV file you already use to record income and expenses.

Your file is held privately while you prepare the update.

  2. STEP 2

    Connect the right figures.

Choose your sheet, then match its income and expense figures to the reporting fields. Each mapped total stays linked to the records it came from.

You can see where each figure belongs.

  3. STEP 3

    Check the update.

Review the business, period and totals together. Follow figures back to your spreadsheet, resolve any warnings and make corrections before continuing.

You decide when the figures are ready.

  4. STEP 4 · WHEN FILING IS AVAILABLE

    Approve, then keep the receipt.

When filing is available for your account, approve the exact update before it is sent to HMRC. Check the response and keep the saved receipt with your records.

A record of the update and HMRC’s response.

For now: live HMRC filing is not available. A free trial lets you explore preparation; it cannot submit tax updates.

A quarterly update summarises business income and expenses. It is part of Making Tax Digital, not your complete annual tax return. QuarterLink is bridging software; it does not replace your bookkeeping or provide bank feeds, invoicing, payroll or tax advice.
